Berea, Dec. 09 — In an effort to enhance quality of roads infrastructure, Roads Directorate has on Monday continued its campaign to sensitize both local and international contractors about the contractors categorization tool during a one day workshop staged at Teyateyaneng.
During the campaign staged at Roads Directorate Training Centre, Roads Directorate highlighted that the key performance indicators for tracking the contractor will basically focus on quality of work delivered, management, schedule, costs, safety and environment.
Roads Directorate, Manager Research and Industry Development, Mrs. Mafusi Mphahama remarked that the workshop comes after they reviewed categorization tool last year, but came into effect in August this year, therefore it came to their attention to engage and sensitize roads construction contractors about the reviewed document with the aim to get their input as key stakeholders.
Mrs. Mphahama stressed that the reviewed tool has incorporated the contractor’s performance tracking and assessment of which the motive behind that is to be well-informed about the contractors who run different infrastructure projects under Roads Directorate and other organizations.
