Maseru, Nov 03 – Lesotho Off Road Association (LORA) Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mr. Ntaote Bereng says Root of Africa Rally promotes tourism considering the number of participants who visit the country during that period alone.
This year’s edition of Roof of Africa Rally will kick off on November 29 and end on December 02 this year.
Mr. Bereng told the Agency on Friday that he was expecting plus or minus 400 riders from across the globe, even though he said the majority come from neighbouring South Africa.
He explained that each one of around 400 brings along with them three or four crew members plus their family members who support them.
Mr. Bereng therefore stated that those people stay in hotels, eat and refuel their bikes in the country for the duration of their stay in the country. . .
