Maseru, July.03 — On the margins of the Joint Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Energy and Water, scheduled to commence on July 04, 2025, Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ministers conducted a technical visit to the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) Coordination Centre and the Geo Pomona Waste Management Facility in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The visit formed part of the Ministers’ preparatory activities and provided an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the operations, innovations, and strategic contributions of both institutions toward sustainable energy and environmental management in the region.
At the SAPP Coordination Centre, the Ministers were briefed on regional power system operations, market coordination, and efforts to strengthen energy security and interconnectivity across SADC Member States. . .
