SAPS IN BREACH OF STILFONTEIN COURT ORDER

Maseru, Dec. 11—The South African Police Service (SAPS) is in breach of Pretoria High Court order that allowed the Stilfontein community, volunteers and human rights organisations to provide food and water to the illegal miners.

Mining Affected Community in Action (MACUA) filed a court application for the second time to allow miners to be provided with food, water and other essentials such as medication from the human rights organisations, but the SAPS defied the court order.
