SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS CRY FOUL

Mohale’s Hoek, Nov. 14 — Motlejoeng School Bus Association members held a meeting to raise pressing issues within their industry on Friday.

Mr. Lillo Nooe, Association Vice Chairman said they have written to government’s relevant authorities about the provision of D-permits and the permit that allows them as members to be recognized as lawful transport operators for children.

He further indicated that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport only issue short term permits citing that permanent permits that will be renewable after five years are still in the printing process since the year 2020, which he believes are non-existent.

He said they are preparing to sue the government through their lawyer and also engage in a peaceful march to demonstrate their dissatisfaction.
