SCHOOL COMMITS TO SOCIAL STUDIES

Maseru, March 27 — Lesia Combined School has committed to social studies education as a means of educating and raising awareness about some of the traits that contribute in building a Mosotho child amongst others.

Social Studies Teacher, Mrs. ‘Matsépo Phakoe told the Agency in an interview that some of these traits were born out of the principles of the late founder of Basotho Morena Moshoeshoe I.

She explained that it is imperative that growing children are educated about these traits that include amongst others servanthood, giving and sharing with the less privileged, wisdom and promoting peace at all costs.

According to Mrs. Phakoe, through such studies, students are reminded and taught about these characters so that they can be able to live harmoniously with their peers.
