SCORES OF VULNERABLE FAMILIES TO RECEIVE FOOD DONATIONS IN BOTHA-BOTHE

Botha-Bothe, Nov. 11 —  A total of 539 vulnerable families across the district are set to receive food supplies as part of the ongoing food distribution campaign launched by the Botha-Bothe District Management Authority (DMA) last week Monday.

Presenting before the Heads of Department meeting, DMA Officer Mr. Phano Ntene said that while 539 households have been identified to receive food aid, the assistance will reach 21,359 vulnerable individuals, based on household numbers.

“All five councils in the district will benefit from this 31-day food distribution exercise, which runs until December 15, 2025. We are working closely with community leaders, who help us identify vulnerable families within their areas,” he explained.

Mr. Ntene further noted that the food being distributed was purchased from local farmers during the first and second rounds of local food procurement earlier this year.
