SEARCH, RESCUE EQUIPMENT EXHIBITED 

Maseru, Jan.30– The second day of the national dialogue for disaster preparedness began with the exhibition of products in various stalls at the Convention Centre in Maseru on Thursday.Products exhibited were mostly for search and rescue as well as first aid.

They were displayed by amongst others Lesotho Defence Force (LDF), Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS), World Vision Lesotho (WVL) as well as Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) and others.

Briefing participants of the dialogue during a tour of stalls, Inspector Letsielo Mabitle of the search and rescue team from LMPS said they are facing shortage of rescue equipment and requested different Organisations to assist in order to undertake their work effectively.

He also said they need to be capacitated to further enhance their skills and knowledge. . .
