SECTION 2 URGES GOVERNMENT TO REVERSE DECLARATION OF FAMO GROUPS AS UNLAWFUL 

Maseru, Jun. 22– The Advocates for the Supremacy of the Constitution (SECTION 2) has urged the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police to reverse the declaration of Famo Music Groups as unlawful. 

This SECTION 2 says following the government’s declaration issued under the title ”Internal Security (Declaration of Unlawful organisation)Notice, 2024, which declared 12 Famo music groups unlawful on the grounds of alleged involvement in subversive activities.

SECTION 2 further demands the Minister to provide a fully detailed account of processes and consultation that preceded the issuance of the declaration, saying if it is found that due process and public consultations were not followed, the Minister must reverse that. . .
