Maseru, May.03 — The Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) commonly known as ‘Fokothi’ has launched its new degree programmes in an event held in Maseru on Thursday night.
Speaking at this event, the Rector of the institution Professor Spirit Tlali said that as the institution grows, it has become necessary to develop Degree programmes which is also an advancement of the institutional strategic objectives of becoming a university of technology.
He indicated that the introduction of these degrees is meant to significantly contribute towards the national agenda through provision of programmes that will solve the economic, social and cultural challenges facing the country.
Professor Tlali however showed that there is need for the government and other financing institutions to also consider investing in higher education as it is done for both primary and secondary education. . .
