Maseru, July.16 — With different festivies held country wide to celebrate King Letsie III’ 62nd birthday, President of the Senate Mrs. ‘Mamonaheng Mokitimi and Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane are no exception as they have conveyed their birthday wishes to the King.
The duo has expressed their pride and happiness in celebrating with His Majesty, calling him the unifier of Basotho nation, the one send by God to unite the nation to be one through his wisdom. The one who encourages Basotho to be vibrant, active and hands-on to make a living.
They said, this is the day to commend the King in particular over his efforts or footprints in nutrition issues not only in Lesotho but globally.
“We also recognize his dedication in climate change issues therefore we are proud to realize that even the world has put their hope in him. We see him going from countries to regions and continents in search of investors for Basotho and Lesotho,” they said.
They praised the King for always being soft-spoken and never harsh therefore calling on all Basotho to thank God for this precious gift that He has given to them.
“Let us be proud, celebrate and appreciate God’s love upon us.” They said as Parliament overseen by King, pledge to work hard and diligently saying that Basotho will be represented well and truthfully, laws enacted to develop their lives, public funds be allocated wisely while its usage will also be monitored as that is what they are entrusted to do. . .
