SEMPE URGES COMMUNITIES TO PROTECT RANGELANDS 

Mohale’s Hoek, July. 23 — Range Management Officer from the Ministry Of Environment and Forestry Mr. Nts’itsa Sempe has on Tuesday urged villagers at Taung, Ha Monts’o to preserve their rangelands amid severe drought. 

Mr. Sempe noted this at a public gathering facilitated by the Ministry and the World Food Programme, (WFP) through the project titled Improving Adaptive Capacity of Vulnerable and Food Insecure Populations in Lesotho, (IACOV), aimed at creating awareness to communities on the impacts of climate change. 

He further stated that farmers should seek expertise from the Ministry to build water tanks nearer to the rangelands and collect water, instead of abandoning animals do drink from the rangelands. . .
