SENTEBALE CONTINUES TO PROMOTE PREVENTION

Maseru, Oct.08—- As it continues to promote prevention among out of school Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Sentebale Children’s Foundation is implementing prevention programmes in Mokhotlong, Leribe, Thaba-Tseka, Quthing and Qacha’s Nek.

This is according to a report from Sentebale which states that the project promotes the engagement of AGYW between the ages of 15 to 24 years in those districts. It adds that focus is on HIV prevention and linkages to other services. It indicates that the project is implemented through different cadres of community-based volunteers placed in the councils where they originate from. It adds that they serve as the frontline individuals on the ground as they are already familiar with the areas. It further adds that it is both cost and time effective for them to work where they are already staying.
