SOURU FM MARKS WORLD RADIO DAY WITH NEW OFFICE, FACES CALL FOR GROWTH

Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 13 — In celebration of 2025 International Radio Day, Souru FM and community members observed the day by cleaning their newly allocated office, officially handed over by District Administrator (DA) Mr. Habofanoe Pheku.

This year’s theme, ‘Radio and Climate Change,’ underscores the crucial role of radio in educating communities about environmental issues.

In an interview with Souru FM Station Manager, Mr. Thapelo Rantle, affirmed the station’s commitment to broadcasting climate-focused programs, ensuring listeners stay informed about climate related developments.

Founded in 2019 and officially came on air on September 14, 2020, Souru FM operates solely on volunteer efforts.
