MOETI JAILED FOR HOUSEBREAKING 

Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 13 – Senior Resident Magistrate Tséliso Bale of Qacha’s Nek Magistrate Court has sentenced 19-year-old Limpho Moeti, from Ha Mosuoe, Tsoelike, currently residing at Sunvill, to three years in prison or a M3,000 fine for two counts of housebreaking.

Moeti received 18 months in jail or a M1,500 fine for each of the two counts, with the sentences to run consecutively. In delivering his judgment, Magistrate Bale noted Moeti’s status as a first-time offender and his cooperation, which helped save the court’s time.

In the first charge, Moeti was convicted of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft, violating section 65(1) and 2, in conjunction with section 109(2) of the Penal Code Act No. 6 of 2010. On January 20, 2025, at Makhalong, Moeti unlawfully entered a house and stole a khaki track pant valued at M400, belonging to Lejaha Maluke. . .
