STAKEHOLDERS GET KNOWLEDGE

Qacha’s Nek, Sept.25 — Karabo ea Bophelo (KB) project through Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in collaboration with the Department of Social Development are from today hosting a two-day case management refresher training for Quthing and Qacha’s Nek District Child Protection Team (DCPT) members.

Quthing Department of Social Development Senior Child Welfare Officer,  Ms. Thato Masupha says the training’s objectives are amongst others: familiarising members with strengthened case management system and its principles, understanding the role of community stakeholders in upholding the rights of a child and ensure the identification and referral of child protection cases, explore opportunities to integrative cases management and provision of knowledge and information on how to capacitate Community Council Child Protection Team (CCCPT).

“Refresher trainings are vital for reflections (learn from each other) and encouragement for each person to fulfil his or her role in ensuring child protection through their esteemed offices,” she said.
