Maseru, Dec. 05 — Death toll of illegal miners at the Stilfontein mine shaft rises to 7 following the retrieval of four bodies on Wednesday.
Unknown number of illegal miners remain underground while 26 who are reported to be citizens of Lesotho, South Africa (SA) and Mozambique have resurfaced.
The remaining illegal miners continue to plead for food and medication for the swift rescue of the sick and among other things they have requested include canned meat.
Meanwhile, the National Civic Organisation has warned that more illegal miners will die underground unless the government steps in to help them.
