Maseru, Oct. 13 — This year’s theme for World Teachers day should be re echoed to instill in the minds of Political Leaders a need to promote education in Lesotho.
This was said by Lesotho Association of Teachers (LAT) Secretary General Mr. Letsatsi Ntsibolane in an interview with the Agency, saying October is the month to celebrate teachers.
He said the theme, which was ” Valuing teachers’ voices: towards a new social contract for education” emphasises the need to invest in public education.
He said Lesotho does not fund education enough as most schools are still faced with a challenge of few teachers although the minimum of teachers in each school should be eight.
