Qacha’s Nek, Oct. 12 — The Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) is taking significant steps to enhance community safety by training 26 members from Central (10), Whitehill (8), and Ha Sekake (8) on crucial safeguarding issues.
This intensive training, which began on Tuesday and wraps up today, focuses on vital topics like child protection, personal and public safety.
In an exclusive interview, Sergeant ‘Mamatheko Bohloa-Semethe, the Qacha’s Nek Division Safeguarding Officer and a member of the Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS), highlighted the importance of addressing sexual offenses—an urgent challenge within the district.
She emphasized the LRCS slogan, “Re thusa sechaba,” meaning “we help the public.”
