Maseru, Oct. 13 — The government of Lesotho has expressed concern over the bombing of the diplomatic residence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Sudan last month.
This, after UAE Ambassador to Lesotho Mr. Mahash Saeed Alhameli appraised the government on this matter during his visit in the country a few days ago,.as per press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
It adds that the government indicated that the attack on diplomatic residence is a grave violation of the fundamental principle of the inviolability of diplomatic premises.
It indicates that it is the principled conviction of the Lesotho government that despite the ravaging war, protection of civilians and the key installations including diplomatic premises is a sacrosanct principle of the United Nations that must be respected all the time.
