TEACHERS UNDERGO ASSISTIVE DEVICES TRAINING

Maseru, Oct. 09 – In an effort to ensure that children with disabilities access education, Lesotho National Federation of Organisations of the Disabled (LNFOD) is currently holding a one-week training for teachers who teach students with disabilities.

Speaking at the training which commenced on Monday (today), LNFOD Inclusive Social Protection and Education Officer Mrs. Makhauta Nkholise said the objective of the training is to refresh the knowledge of teachers who were provided with technological assistive devices last year.

“We have learnt that some teachers are still faced with a challenge of using assistive devices effectively because they are of high standard and technological, hence the refresher training” she said.
