Maseru, Oct.09 — It never rains but pours in Roma as students of the National University of Lesotho (NUL) have on Monday engaged in another strike.
It has turned into a norm that whenever they do not get their allowances, they strike.
Around 13hrs00 when the Agency arrived in Roma shops and other small businesses, banks and petrol stations had closed to avoid looting. While seen were also members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service Roma as well as Special Operations Unit (SOU) running and shooting rubber bullets.
Groups of students were spotted at a hill at Mafikeng not far from the campus and suspicion is that they went there to flee from the police.
