Berea, Feb. 14 — Lekokoaneng community makes fortune out of sandstone cutting.
As the country is faced with high unemployment rate, Lekokoaneng community are making fortune out of mining and cutting bricks from the sand stones to sustain their lives and to boost their local economy.
This was said by Mr. Thabang Lebesa one of the hard-working artisans during an interview with the Agency on Friday.
Mr.Lebesa who has more than 15 years as an artisan said the business support his family and has also created job opportunities to 15 local people.
In addition to that Mr. Lebesa said that sandstone bricks are done by extracting a raw sandstone from land either by using machines or pickaxe then they cut it to give it different designs using chisels. . .
