Maseru, Mar. 13 – A unique partnership between sports and the military was solidified as the Federation of Cycling in Lesotho donated ten bicycles to the Lesotho Army at their Ha Ratjomose headquarters.
This gesture marks a significant step towards integrating physical fitness and cycling culture within the nation’s armed forces, a development welcomed by both military leaders and cycling enthusiasts.
During the donation ceremony, Military Treasurer Major General (Maj. Gen.) Ramanka Mokaloba expressed gratitude for the bicycles, emphasizing their importance in promoting fitness and camaraderie among soldiers.
He assured that the bicycles would be well-maintained and safeguarded, in alignment with military standards for equipment handling. “These bicycles will be recorded officially within our department’s logistical framework,” Maj. Gen. Mokaloba noted. He highlighted that careful management ensures that if any bicycle sustains damage, it will be addressed promptly for repair. . .
