Maseru, Dec. 23 — Community Councilor for Tloutle, Mr. Thabo Lefuma says their long years of thirst may be over following the visit of Water and Sewerage Company personnel and Member of Parliament for Maama, Mr. Pitso Lesaoana a few days ago.
Tloutle and villages nearby Ha Matobo, Khobeng, Ha Seqoma draw water from communal taps as the water company said it could not supply water because the area is not within its boundaries.
He said this in an interview where he told the Agency that Mr. Lesaoana had brought the WASCO personnel who promised to come back to do a feasibility study so that they will be able to supply Tloutle with water.
Therefore he said this is a positive sign as for a long time all they were told was that Tloutle is not within the scope of WASCO.
“This has really brought new hope to us that finally we will have access to clean drinking water like other villages in Roma,” he said.
On the other hand, with Christmas just around the corner he urged community members to refrain from fights so that they could have peaceful and crime free festivities.
Tloutle is situated about 40km from Maseru.
