Leribe, Dec. 17 — The District Medical Officer ( DMO) Leribe, Dr. Pusetso Topo has confirmed the passing away of two boys at one of the initiation schools at Ha Letele Matlameng in Leribe, due to diarrhoea last week.
Explaining to the agency Dr. Topo said the Ministry received a notification and immediately the Rapid Response Team was sent to the place.
He continued that the first died on December 5 and was not reported while the second victim died on December 10, whereby the Ministry of Health was notified.
Dr. Topo said about 51 of the initiates had diarrhea and were assisted at Matlameng Health center while others were offered medical assistance at Motebang Government Hospital.
