TSITSA, MOKOALLONG ACCESS WATER

Leribe, Apr.06 (LENA) — Menkhoaneng Community Council has managed to maintain and repair the water system at Tsitsa, Mokoallong in Leribe.

The villages are under the Kota Electoral Division.

This was revealed by chairperson of Menkhoaneng Community Council Chieftainess ‘Masempe Selebalo in an interview with the agency on Thursday.

She said two water taps have been repaired to serve Tsitsa and Mokoallong villages.

In addition, she said the water equipment connecting to the water system was old hence not pumping water as intended.

She indicated that the water flow was affected and the water taps which stopped releasing water.

 She said the community started drawing water from unprotected water wells and this was an indication that the council had to make efforts in repairing the water system.

She said the community members had to walk long distances in search of water using donkeys to carry the buckets.

Chieftainess Selebalo highlighted that the drawing water schedule with the new water taps will be regulated by those to be elected.

She highlighted that the repairing was completed successfully, with every employee having been paid. 

Tsitsa and Mokoallong are on the right hand side to Ts’ehlanyane.
