BASOTHO URGED TO USE EASTER AS INTROSPECTION PERIOD

Maseru, April 7 — A United nation can bring a  positive outcome that can benefit a nation in a positive way that could bring growth and development.

This was said by Ms. Nthatuoa Motumi speaking on issues of celebrating Easter holidays with the spirit of unity as a nation in despair.

Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Friday Ms Motumi indicated  that the country has undergone a lot of uncertainties which have compromised its stability in terms of development, therefore these Easter holidays should be used as an introspection period for the nation and the government.

Ms Motumi  said  Lesotho has  been under new government following the October 2022 elections therefore building relationship with God is  a priority as there is hope in change
and prosperity of the country.

She added that  it is however alarming to see the rate which youth are  involved in criminal activities whereas they are a generation which can be looked up to in order to bring change in this country while also improving its livelihood.

Ms Motumi further urged the fellow youth to take advantage of being game changers who can show the world how independently Lesotho can stand without being offered assistance from other countries all the time as its youth will engage in development projects.

Easter or Resurrection Sunday is a Christian festival and holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In the New Testament, the resurrection is described to have occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary.
