Maseru, June 11 — The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Lesotho is facilitating a two-day training workshop for Health Reporters on International Conference on Population Development (ICPD).

The ICPD was agreed upon on 1994 placing human rights and dignity at the heart of sustainable development. This review is also made to celebrate the 30 years of achievements, and assess challenges.

In his speech, the UNFPA representative Mr. Innocent Modisaotsile indicated that the capacity-building workshop is held for Media professionals who report on Health issues to capacitate them with topics related to Population development being the most challenging topic of today.

He said as the Population develops in all aspects of life, one way or the other, there are issues of concern that needs to be addressed.
