WOMEN’S CAUCUS CONCERNED ABOUT WOMEN, GIRLS KILLINGS

Maseru, April 30 – The Parliamentary Women’s Caucus has expressed concern over endless killings to women and girls in the country.

In her motion of the report on the campaign to observe 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence in the National Assembly on Tuesday, Parliamentary Women’s Caucus Chairperson Mrs. ‘Makatleho Motsoasele said as members they urge the House to resolve to adopt the Report of the Women’s Caucus on the Campaign to Observe 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence; presented in the House on Wednesday, February 21st, last year.

The Chairperson said recently four women were reported to have been killed in the Mohale’s Hoek district and that as if that was not enough another woman was killed at Matsieng recently.

Mrs. Motsoasele also hinted that a pregnant woman was reported to have been mercilessly killed at Fobane. . .
