WREATH LAYING CANCELLED

Maseru, Dec. 13 — Wreath laying  event on top of Thaba-Bosiu expected to be performed by the United Nations (UN) Secretary General on Friday has been cancelled.

Mr. Antonio Guterres who is in Lesotho on an official visit was meant to lay the wreath in a bid to stand in solidarity with Basotho towards  commemoration of the bicentennial. 

The 200 years mark  the existence of the Basotho nation formed by the late Morena Moshoeshoe I.

A message communicated  by an LDF official to those who had already convened where remains   of the founding father of the nation are on behalf of the Deputy Chief of Protocol Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the event has been cancelled.
