TSUNYANE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION POSTPONED TO NEXT YEAR

Maseru, Dec. 13 — Construction of Tsunyane bridge in Roma is set to begin the next financial year, according to community councillor Sipho Ramalitse.

Speaking to the Agency on Friday, Mr. Ramalitse said there has been hiccups since 2017 following the collapse of the old structure due to heavy rains.

He said the construction was planned to commence sometime this year, but it was given funds from another project that was going on in Rothe but shortly after that it had to stop.

“It had to stop because the Rothe project ran out of funds and all the equipment that was brought here had to be taken back and that is why we had to stop,” he said.
