Maseru, Sept. 05 — The youth mentorship program, to be conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition through the SmallHolder Agricultural Development Project (SADP II) will commence on Monday next week in three regions of the country.
This was said by the Ministry’s Chief Information Officer Mr. Lereko Masupha in an interview with the Agency, following registrations and assessment of the candidates which was opened in July this year.
Mr. Masopha said although 100 youth were selected in each district, majority of them registered, indicating that the programme will be conducted in Leribe, Maseru and Mohale’s Hoek
Meanwhile, earlier at the press conference, the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi said that the applicants must be Basotho nationals aged between 18 and 35, must have interest in commercial farming and are already in agricultural production amongst others.
