YOUTH SPORTS TEAMS GET PRIZES 

Quthing, Jan. 02 —  More than 15 teams of different sporting codes, together with  referees  that took part in a  two-day Youth Sports tournament were awarded prizes at a ceremony led by the Minister of Agriculture Food Security and Nutrition, Mr. Thabo Mofosi held held at Liphakoe Football ground Upper Moyeni on Tuesday this week.

The event was also dignified with the presentation of school shoes and socks for 80 orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC), that were received by community leaders on behalf of the beneficiaries.

It was organized by the Crime Prevention Unit of the Quthing Police and funded by Hills View Lodge with the aim to encourage youth to always keep themselves busy with sports and avoid engaging in criminal acts.

Speaking at the same event, Mr. Mofosi who is also a Member of Parliament for Moyeni Constituency and the owner of Hills View Lodge, expressed the need for various public groups to keep the youth busy since they are exposed to criminal acts due to idling.
