QUTHING ALLOCATED OVER M700 000 FOR  WASTE MANAGEMENT

Quthing,  August 02 — The Quthing District Council has been allocated more than M700 000 for waste management in the district this financial year 2024-2025.

In an interview with the Agency, the Quthing District Council Assistant Economic Planner Mr. Khotso Nokoana said the money is expected to be utilized for maintenance of cleanliness in Quthing, Moyeni.

He stated that the money will among others be used for procurement of cleaning material that include garbage bags,  gloves and masks, as well as management of town solid waste dumping sites at Alwan’skop.

“Transportation costs for waste to the dumping sites and recruitment of labourers engaged in collection of waste in town will be from the same funds,” he said.
