QACHA’S NEK — In a bid to promote menstrual hygiene and nutrition awareness, Thifa Nutrition Club extended a generous hand to 23 local girls, each receiving two packets of sanitary towels and snacks, during a vibrant community outreach held under freezing temperatures.
The event, held in Thifa, featured more than just donations.
It showcased a wide array of preserved foods such as bottled peaches, fruit juices from apples, beetroot, and carrots, tomato jam, and handmade hats crafted from wool and recycled plastics.
Accompanied by nutrition-themed songs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN) also displayed placards bearing messages that encouraged healthy diets, child nutrition, and the importance of hygiene in preventing disease.
