DA, LDF, LMPS WARN MAFIKA-LISIU COMMUNITY AGAINST RETALIATION

Botha-Bothe, Oct. 12 Members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF), the Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS), and the District Administrator are cautioning the Mafika-Lisiu Community against seeking revenge.

At a public gathering held yesterday, District Administrator Mr. Ts’epa Chaba recounted his recent attendance at a funeral in the village where a person was killed by a friend after a dispute. Shockingly, during this event, he heard the chief’s right-hand man suggest that the community should act against the perpetrator, either upon their release on bail or after serving their sentence.

“I was deeply surprised by this suggestion, particularly coming from the chief’s right-hand man. How can someone casually advocate violence, and why has no one objected?” Mr. Chaba questioned.
