Maseru, May 03 — The government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition has commenced distributing seeds and fertilisers countrywide for winter cropping.
This was revealed by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi at the press conference held in Maseru on Friday.
Mr. Mofosi said the seeds and fertilisers are subsidised by 70 percent and 80 percent respectively, indicating that they will only be sold to farmers who will engage in farming with the supervision of Extension Officers.
