Maseru, Sept. 16 — The African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) has sent condolences to the family over the passing of Mr. Pravin Gordhan who passed on last week.
The release issued by ATAF indicated that under Gordhan under his leadership, ATAF grew into a vital organisation focused on enhancing tax administration across Africa. His vision of improving domestic resource mobilisation (DRM) and building stronger tax institutions has profoundly impacted the continent.
It highlighted his tenure as the first Chairperson of ATAF, from 2009 to 2012, was instrumental in laying the foundation for the Forum’s long-term success.
“Pravin Gordhan was a towering figure who shaped ATAF’s mission and vision. As our first Chairperson, he provided critical leadership that guided the organisation in its formative years.”
