ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE SET DOWN FOR HEARING

Maseru, Jan. 27 — A case in which four army members are charged with attempted murder of Former Editor of the Lesotho Times and Sunday Express newspapers, Lloyd Mutungamiri, has been set down for hearing on March 03, 2025.

Among the recent witnesses to testify in the matter is Mr. Moshe Tsosane, a resident   of Upper Thamae in Maseru who was a neighbour to the complainant. He related to the court how he assisted the complainant after he was shot and until he was in the hands of doctors and the police.     

Other witnesses who have already testified include the complainant and an accomplice witness Mahanyane Phusumane.     

The accused: Rapele Mphaki who was Chief Defence Intelligence in 2016 together with Khutlang Mochesane, Nyatso Tsoeunyane and Maribe Nathane are charged with contravention of section 22(1) read with 109 of Penal Code Act No.6 of 2010.
