Quthing, Feb 12 — Some stakeholders in basic education acquired information on the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET Basic Education Information and Communication technology (ICT) Policy of 2024 at a one-day meeting held to disseminate the policy at the district department of education hall this week.
Presenting on basic education ICT Policy at the same event, the ICT Education Inspector from the Ministry, Mr. Kapane Mosothoane highlighted that it is intended to guide in technology integration on basic education from Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), Primary and secondary education in Lesotho.
He said the integration will among others improve access to IT at all schools, curriculum enhancement, skill development and support of teachers to make the policy implementation a success.
Mr. Mosothoane further said all schools including from hard to reach areas and of people with disabilities will be supported in implementation of basic education ICT.
