BLANKET GROUPS COMMIT TO WORK FOR PEACE

Mokhotlong Aug.03 — Members of the Seakhi and Khang Kholo blanket groups pledged commitment that they will strive for unity and peace for the development of the district.

They made the commitment during a one day meeting that took place at the District Administrators Office Premises in Mokhotlong on Friday. 

The Deputy Leader of Seakhi group Mr. Neo Khesa said they are prepared to work together to ensure that they attain peace and stability between the groups.

Mr. Khesa said  they are relatives and neighbours and they should work hard to ensure that they work for  peace and stability.

Another leader from Khang Kholo Mr.  Ramoloko Ntjapeli said they appreciate the unity that heads of  security sectors advised them to form and said they have embraced it for their own peace and development.

Meanwhile some of the recommendations the members have made include holding the gatherings to make the public aware that they have resorted to unite and maintain peace.

On the other hand a member of parliament for Bobatsi Constituency Mr. Bataung Makhakhe advised them to unite and work for peace.

He said they should stop fights due to different blankets they wear and ensure they maintain peace and socio economic development.

The next meeting will be held at the end of August.
