Maseru, July. 04 — Following the Prime Minister declaration on youth unemployment rate as state of emergency, Bothoba-Pelo Foundation is currently imparting skills to youth.
“The two days workshop on fruit tree training held at Corp College Maseru is said to be one of the mechanism trying to respond to the high unemployment challenge among Basotho especially youth,” said Founder of Bothoba-Pelo Foundation, Mrs. Mamolemo Letlala.


Mrs. Letlala noted that the workshop objective is to equip youth with skills of fruit tree planting, pruning as well as boosting fruit yield and tree health as a tool to defeat unemployment rate.
Moreover, she emphasised that even though the training is aimed at youth by equipping them with fruit tree planting knowledge they discovered that most of the participants were women.
“There are also elder men and women who attended the training but women were most dominant,” she said.
She stated that the training is going to rotate in all districts as they are anticipating to hold one in Berea and then Mafeteng.
