Leribe, Oct. 24 — With the purpose of promoting Investment and Trade opportunities and to create a platform for Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) stakeholders to engage the local private sector, LNDC is hosting a road show at Hlotse in Leribe.
It is attended by the businesspeople from the districts of Leribe and Butha Buthe.
Addressing the business community, on behalf of LNDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Rethabile Mdee said LNDC has come up with a new five-year strategic plan for 2023 until 2028 linked to Extended National Strategic Development Plan II (NSDP II) with Manufacturing, Agriculture and Agro processing, Technology and Innovation and Tourism and Hospitality.
Mr. Mdee said the strategic plan focuses on business growth and development for the benefit of improving the lives of Basotho.
Referring to Lesotho, he reminded that Lesotho economy has since been affected by Covid-19 in 2020 and by the war between Ukraine and Russia.
