Maseru, Oct. 09 — The importance of money is associated with the national flag as it brings out the identity of Basotho.
These views were shared by Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) Acting Director Operations during a one day Stakeholders Engagement Meeting themed ‘Risks Affecting the Circulation of Currency’, today, Wednesday.
According to Mrs. Mamokhali Shale, through money, Chiefs representing the identity of Basotho are displayed, the more reason why all are obliged to handle money with care.
She further talked about Section 29 otherwise legal framework, indicating no person shall as of right be entitled to recover from the Bank, the value of any lost, stolen mutilated or imperfect notes or coins.
