CBL SUPPORTS FINANCIAL INCLUSION

Mohale’s Hoek, April 16 — Chief Cooperate from Central Bank’s Communications Department Mr. Ephraim Moremoholo, has on Monday stated that CBL is supporting convenient financial inclusion to all Basotho.

Mr. Moremoholo noted this at a Financial Literacy Seminar held for people with disability in commemoration of Money Month Lesotho, with the purpose of offering financial literacy at no costs to them.

He indicated that every year CBL visits communities to apprise them on services and products offered by the bank and other financial institutions legally registered with the bank, hence the need for this kind of seminar so that people get to make informed decisions after exploring options available to them.

He concluded by noting that CBL’s expectation for the next 10 years is that Basotho should be able to manage their finances individually.

Furthermore,  one of the participants Mr. Khotso Leche applauded CBL for the initiative, especially with Mobile money services offered by various telecommunications companies, which the latter stated the service has made their lives easier.

Meanwhile, a similar seminar has been held for Public Servants with the same objective of offering financial literacy.

Money Month Lesotho which is being celebrated under the theme Protect your money, secure your future was officially launched in the district on April 11 and it is expected to run for a week.
