Maseru, Aug. 08 — Chinese Embassy on Thursday night hosted an awards Ceremony for Chinese modernization in My Eyes Contest and reception for Lesotho students and trainees to China.
The beneficiaries, 15 Basotho students and trainees from different sectors and an overall winner of the Chinese Modernization contest, a Reporter from Lesotho News Agency (LENA) Ms. Palesa Maharasoa.
The contestants who were mostly Journalists from different local media houses walked away with electronic gadgets as prizes including tablets, smart projectors, smart phones and drones.
In his remarks, Ambassador Yang Xiaokun congratulated and expressed appreciation to all participants saying he examined their works and agree with all that Chinese Modernization is manifested in AI algorithms and 5G networks as per Mr. Molefi, one of contestants’ personal experience in China, e-commerce that brings convenience to people with disabilities as explained by Ms.Thaabe,cutting-edge CT and ICU facilities that save people’s lives as mentioned by Dr. Tumisang and many others.
