QACHA’S NEK — The Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development (MGYSD), through its Department of Elderly Services and Human Resource Division, hosted a one-day workshop for civil servants aged 55 and above who are nearing retirement.
The session, held in Qacha’s Nek, also welcomed spouses and support systems, emphasizing that retirement affects the entire household, not just individuals.
According to Mrs. ’Mamshengu Tshabalala, Director of Elderly Services at MGYSD, the workshop aimed to prepare participants emotionally, socially, and financially for the transition that begins at age 60.
She said the initiative is part of a broader retirement preparation program driven by the MGYSD.
