COMPOL PLEDGES TO RESTORE LMPS IMAGE

Maseru, Jul. 03 — Following the Afrobarometer results released on June 27 which highlight the involvement of police officers in corruption, the Commissioner of Police (COMPOL) Borotho Matsoso has pledged to retain the image of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS).

Speaking of the strategy that he plans to employ, COMPOL Matsoso said he will engage the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) to bring the delinquents to book as soon as possible.

He however noted that the public can play a vital role in this by reporting these police officers to a telephone number that will be provided. . .
