Maseru, Nov. 11 — Patrice Motsepe’s first term as head of African Football’s governing body is coming to an end as the Confederation of African Cup (CAF) set elections date for March 2025.
Motsepe has been at the helm of CAF from March, 2021.
A statement from CAF indicates that South African Football Association (SAFA) President, Dr. Danny Jordaan and several of his counterparts from the COSAFA region have endorsed Dr. Patrice Motsepe to be re-elected as Confederation of African Football (CAF) President.
CAF further points out that Dr. Jordaan welcomed Botswana Football Association President, Oabile Babitseng, Zambia’s Andrew Kamanga, Eswatini’s Peter Simelane and Malawi’s Fleetwood Haiya to SAFA House in Nasrec last week and they all pledged support for Dr. Motsepe’s re-election for a second term during the CAF elections in March 2025.
